His dark history with a senior agent in Phoenix complicates not just the investigation but his relationship with Cloister.
ISBN Review: Cloister and Javi both have issues that they deal with on a daily bases. I liked these two together as it seemed they both needed the others help at times. Javi is injured and decides to invite Cloister over because of it. The men closer as the story deepens. Although I did enjoy this addition I felt there were too many unanswered questions left at the end.
Never the less it was still an entertaining and engaging read and I have to hope the unanswered questions will be answered at some point. Hi guys, we have Shane K. But just as the net is tightening, the neo-Nazi militia Utopia launches their master plan with a devastating act of terror that changes the landscape of Las Vegas forever. The race to save Sin City is on, and these players are going for broke. Publisher: Dreamspinner Press 12th February Blurb: Josiah Erickson wants to be a movie star.
The problem with that is so does half of Los Angeles. All he needs is his big break. And that break may come in the form of a novelist who goes by the enigmatic name of Q-Bert. Q-Bert, who is ready to make his directorial debut in a film Josy would be perfect for. Q-Bert, who Josy may or may not have a friend-crush on, and potentially something more.
Being demisexual can be confusing. From the City of Angels to the small mountain town of Abby, Oregon, Josy will give his all to make sure his dreams come true—even the ones he never thought possible. I also adore just about everything that TJ writes, or to be more honest, I have different degrees of love for the various titles. I love his quirky characters, all their flaws and eccentricities, as well as the style of writing which makes these characters so damn lovable and accessible to the reader.
My love for Gustavo Tiberius, aka Gus or Grumpy Gus, is massive and probably because I identify strongly with some of his quirks. We also met Josiah for the first time in book one when he made the trip from LA to Abby, Oregon to visit Casey while Gus and Casey were becoming the beautiful and often hilarious couple that they are.
Annnnnnnd I got way off track. Sorry, not sorry. More accurate would be to say that Josy loves the stage and transforming to become someone else for the entertainment of others. He loves his craft and while fame and stardom would be great, he is happy and puts all his passion into every role he gets or auditions for.
He is a sweetheart and within the first few chapters I fell in love with his curiosity and positivity. Josy did this with his friends Casey, Xander and Serge, and then he did so with Gus. And gruff, grumpy Gus may act like he hates, but he really loves it, especially when Josy goes to Gus because he needs help with some important decision. Josy loves radio competitions and often rings and wins things alright, that is something that Josy and I have in common.
One such competition was a poetry slam, or so Josy thinks, and he needs one of his friends to go along with him.

This is where Josy meets quiet author who goes by the name of Q-Bert. But life as Q-Bert is a small part of Quincy Moore. He is also an aspiring screen writer and with the help of his grandfather, who is basically Hollywood Royalty, Quincy is making the terrifying step to have his directorial debut. Quincy also deals with sometimes crippling depression and anxiety, but he also uses this to be a voice of hope for many that live with the sinister thoughts by writing a blog that is popular among his readers.
Quincy is showing that it is alright to be different and that life may be hard but it is worth the fight. But Josy needs to make right on that because he knows that he has to be friends with Quincy because he feels that is right. And so when the opportunity arises, Josy is swept into his first major film acting role, and is ready to give Quincy and his movie his all to become friends, hopefully more, and maybe at the end he could even become a movie star. His connections that bring him back to Abby, Oregon means that he has a whole host of friends that want to help Josy make his dreams come true.
Quincy is in for a ride but he soon finds out, as he gets to know those closest to Josy, that this wild ride is probably one of the most important things in his life. I had high expectations for this story, and I was not let down. I have my dreams, but you know what? Genre: Contemporary, Suspense. But the Russians are looking for it, too, and they have a team in place in Eastern Europe hunting it down. Day and Knight are brought back together when they are charged with getting to the painting first. Their assignment leads them through Germany and Austria with agents hot on their tail — agents willing to do whatever it takes to get to the masterpiece first.

Knight wants to forget about Mexico, everything including his feelings and his failed relationship with Day. To stop a delicate international relations situation from exploding Day and Knight need to find the art work. Knight is the big tough guy with all the skills he got from this marine training, he also possesses some of the brains of the operation. While Day is a great deal of the brains and the intel of the operation. Their abilities compliment each other. Their professional life together fits together as well as their personal life. Regardless of how well they fit though, with two argumentative men it makes their professional relationship just as rocky as their personal.
This is a fun, Cold War kind of espionage story line. In fact, I have to say that I enjoyed this second installment a bit more than I enjoyed the first book. Day and Knight are two very complex characters and their character development tends to raise tensions between them rather than ease them. Just like in the first book, the narration was totally top notch reflected the tone, emotion and suspense necessary to pull of this story. Title: Audio Assault.

Publisher: Dreamspinner Press November 27, A family trip to New York City is the last thing Theo needs. During the investigation, Theo discovers the threat poses more danger than originally suspected. The consequences will be disastrous if the infected songs are downloaded by the public. Preventing worldwide catastrophe becomes even more difficult when Eddie arrives in the city, hoping to spend some quality time with Theo. No one ever said being a covert agent would be easy. Review: This was an amazing story with a twist I never saw coming.
Attempted kidnappings and unusual music manipulations lead Theo into a discovery that changes everything for him. My heart went out to Theo as the story ended. I so loved the mystery, the investigation and the details in how the team discovers what is going on as well as how they stop the culprits from advancing any further. Great action scenes had me on the edge of my seat. I love this series as we see how Theo interacts with others as well as how he adjusts when the call goes out for a mission.
I do not want to give away anything about the book further than I already have. Title: Slow Thaw. Series: Escape from the Holidays. Author: J. Scott Coatsworth. Genre: Contemporary, Trans, Holiday. The descriptions of the setting is astounding, you can easily picture the ice shelf, of a terrible crack racing towards you as the ice shelf breaks apart, the stunning view of something that has been around for hundreds of thousands of years as it succumbs to human idiocy. It really is breath-taking how J. Scott Coatsworth can transport you into his settings with just a few well-placed words.

A reader gets a better look inside my brain by reading my humor pieces than they do by reading my more serious things. You know that awkward kid who used to sit off to the side of the class and snort inelegantly at inappropriate times for what seemed like no reason? Yeah, that was me. Help it.
It ticks away without my permission, gathering input and free associating all over the place, and what it nearly always ends up spitting out is a giant pile of fluffy absurdity, like a pressure valve letting off a cloud of steam to prevent an explosion. It stings. These days especially, we need fluff and nonsense. We need lighthearted, we need amusing, we need ridiculous. We need to every now and then watch characters deal with absurd situations in absurd ways so we can let that little cloud of fluff escape through the pressure valve and give us maybe just a tiny reset so we can cope better with reality.
Not that I actually do those things, but still. I love it because it makes me smile, and when I wrote it I absolutely needed that. But some will smirk as they read. Some will snort and sink down in their seats when everyone turns to look at them. Some will laugh outright. I write these things because I need to and they make me happy. I let them loose into the world because sometimes other people need them too.
Those are the ones who make the hard part worth it. Kassandra Lea : I have my mom to thank for so much. First of all, she fostered a love of reading. Secondly, I have to thank her for always pushing me to keep chasing my dream of being an author. Who else am I going to bounce ideas off of, and she helps me when I get stuck.
